Green Gathering 2018

Fed up of the cynicism, the waste, the news, Trump, Brexit? Lost sight of what’s really important? Get the feeling that there are people like you who actually care and want to be the change you’d like to see in the world? Then you should unplug, get off-grid and meet some like-minded people at places like the Green Gathering.

Wind, pedal and sun-powered frolics, great food, music and vibes, all under a baking Welsh summer sky. The world needs more of this.

Big thanks to Em and Ben at the Gathering and Rachel at Blissful Belltents for having us. See you next year.

Vicar’s Picnic 2018

A welcome return to Yalding for more of the vicar’s shenanigans – all under the relentless July sun.

Great performances from headliners Starsailor and Fun Lovin’ Criminals, as well as Cast, Sex Pissed Dolls and One Eyed Jacks, while the likes of Norman Jay, Nightmares on Wax and PBR Streetgang rocked the dance tent.

Stephen K Amos provided one of the highlights for me – a blistering 60 minute turn in an over-capacity and over-heated comedy tent. We salute you, sir.

A New Initiative for Canterbury

A few shots from a @CanterburyNewSchool shoot in May.

The lovely Canterbury New School, recently founded on the Waldorf principles, asked me to capture some of the school atmosphere for their new website. I’m very happy to share the kids’ shots used by the school plus a few details.

70th Anniversary Celebrations

I was invited by Canterbury Guided Tours to photograph their drinks reception in the lovely Campanile garden, overlooking the cathedral. Attended by the Sheriff of Canterbury and lots of photogenic guests, it was a great way to end a lovely June day.

Theater PAN.OPTIKUM @ Folkestone

An incredible performance of Crossing Lines by Theater PAN.OPTIKUM in Folkestone’s Radnor Park last night. Don’t ask me what it was about, but the visuals were stunning and the atmosphere electric.

Big thank you to the Creative Foundation for putting it on – more of this please.

Thirsty Bstrd @ Lilford Gallery

Big thank you to David at the Lilford for the invite – was great to see Julien in action (even if the finished piece was snapped up before it was even finished and dry!).

The Vicar’s Picnic 2017

First time for me at this one – although now in it’s fifth year. A friendly village welcome is guaranteed in picturesque Yalding – the setting for a bijou 48 hours of rock, pop, ska, funk, house and frolics. Very chilled, nice vibes and lovely people. Thanks Thom – let’s do it all again next year!

Wise Words Festival 2017

Not a lot I can say that hasn’t already been said about one of the most laid-back, thought-provoking and enjoyable festivals in Kent…

A great place to meet old friends and new over an elderflower cider and catch some of the incredible line-up. My 2017 highlights: Lemn Sissay, Shane Koyczan, Dizraeli and, yes, the 3 Half Pints!

It was a pleasure to work with Beth, Raphael and the team again – and lovely to see some of my 2016 shots gracing this year’s programme. Roll on 2018.

Danish Cool

On assignment for Bentley, 24 hours dashing around Copenhagen in a Bentayga in the company of Søren and Mads, the CEOs of Urban Jurgensen and Shamballa respectively. Beautiful city, lovely people and an amazing vibe – I look forward to a longer visit without the meter running.
