Thirsty Bstrd @ Lilford Gallery

Big thank you to David at the Lilford for the invite – was great to see Julien in action (even if the finished piece was snapped up before it was even finished and dry!).

Danish Cool

On assignment for Bentley, 24 hours dashing around Copenhagen in a Bentayga in the company of Søren and Mads, the CEOs of Urban Jurgensen and Shamballa respectively. Beautiful city, lovely people and an amazing vibe – I look forward to a longer visit without the meter running.

The Last Days of Folkestone Triennial 2014

After shooting the opening party and then the first day of the 2014 Triennial I finally got chance to go and see it for myself – and only just in time.

Amidst all the bustle of the last weekend, we took the opportunity to go and see the ‘Folkestone Banksy’ and as we were there an ominous drilling sound came from behind the piece. Oh yes, the greedy owner of the building decided to remove this generous gift to the people of Folkestone – 33 days after it first appeared and after one or two naughty additions had been made. You can just see the first drill-holes appearing at the top left of the piece. A couple of hours after I took these, possibly the last in-situ, pictures our art-loving Granny was gone.

Folkestone Triennial 2014 Opening Party and Launch Event

A great commission on behalf of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter: shoot the launch party, then the opening ceremony and Day One of Folkestone’s Triennial.

Great fun, fantastic Triennial and highly recommended. Big thanks to Renata for the commission.

Taste Of London video

So, in addition to shooting stills for ILN on behalf of Maille at Taste Of London, I shot some video too which was beautifully edited by none other than Nico Bee.

Currently being hosted on Maille’s Facebook page and website. Please follow them for all the latest news, recipes and events.

Birds of a feather…

Missuseb has been at it again – getting all creative. This time for a rather well-known, West End jeweller’s Basel World stand.

The piece will hang behind semi-opaque perspex and the ‘spools’ of feathers are finished pieces ready to be boxed and shipped to Basel this weekend.

Commissions are being taken – just leave your details in the form below.

The Misty Mountains

A year or so ago certain forested areas of Madeira were devastated by fire. We were driving down from the mountains when we came across the scene and everything just came together: the burnt eucalyptus, the mountain mist, and the woodsmoke from a logging plant giving everything an eerie light–and through it all the little oases of survivors and new growth.

No clever tricks here – these are as shot…
